UPDATE: Fixed certain issues regarding the little girl's face on the far left.

Thanks to ~chryssil and ~clashero for their critiques.

Well, here are the Yoshiyukis, my original crazy samurai family inspired after listening to too much Okinawan music. There are two reoccuring characters here if you've seen my previous stuff ;P. I don't quite have a storyline for them or names for the characters actually. I'm open to suggestions for names.

This was mainly a collage, background and color practice for me. I enjoyed doing the background more than the character themselves (as I realized some came out looking better than others).

Thanks to Mayang for her free textures. Visit her awesome texture website here [link]

Thanks for your comments and hope you enjoy!

I like all the different elements you've combined here, from the fish, dragon and panoramic ocean view to the family itself. The different textures, like the stone of the dragonand scales on the fish, are well done and fun to look at. The characters are very creative, they have really bold designs and thier personalities show through in the picture (hehe, the koi tattoos on the one guy are extremely cool ;P).

Oh, and some good japanese names can be found here, complete with their meanings: [link] Some of the names that stood out ofr me are Daisuke, Emi, and Hayate.

Wow. The colors and the combination of themes is absolutely stunning. THey play off of each other very well. I like the introduction of the "aquatic" theme the best... I think it works interestingly with the traditional (stereotypical?) idea of a Samurai. It's an awesome contrast. THe colors are gorgeous and the painting looks amazing.

Awesome.

SHEEP. I've missed him.

I love the elaborate designs on the outfits and tattoos. The textures on the statue add a nice element of realism. And I love the vibrant colors.
