Cliff Landscape by YoshiyukiKatana Cliff Landscape by YoshiyukiKatana
I really should start learing how to do backgrounds, so here's a starter. I'm actually proud of this one but I was unfortunately not able to use it for the Jecht fanart I made (though I did take the sky element from it). It still looks alright as a stand alone scenery I think.

My thanks to :~Silveraxe: for putting up a tutorial for doing mountains for me. It's a good tutorial for people who are just starting this kind of stuff go check it out!

Hey, I really like this pic. Can I use it as a background for my pic?
I will not declare it as mine, I just suck at making bgs. :)

I'm glad you like this one. I'm not too much of a background artist myself but I decided to give this one a shot. Thanks for adding it to your favs list.

Hey, thanks for the favorite on this one. Yeah, vegetation is something I still need to think of a way to do. But I figured I'd just take one step at a time right now since painting backgrounds is something pretty new for me. But vegetation is something I definately consider doing before moving into more difficult things like cityscapes. Appreciate your comments!

I love how whispy everything seems. The mountains are very pretty. The whole scene makes me wish I could be there.

I'm working on it. The original is a lot bigger, but just for uploading purposes, you kinda got to keep things small. I'll try to do more environment stuff in the future. Plus, I think my figure hand is asking for a break. It's kinda tough to draw figures now for me for some reason (it's because it's break, I tell ya!).
